ISITC 2nd General Meeting of 2016 to be held 13th October 2016

ISITC BISSAs promised in our new agenda issued in January 2016, I have great pleasure in announcing our 2nd General Meeting of 2016 to be held on 13th October at Standard Chartered Bank, 1 Basinghall Avenue, London, EC2V 5DD.

The theme of the day is summarised in the title “With regulatory and market change demands, are new technology and processing models possible?”. We will delve into the demands of the regulatory burden placed on operational and technology resources with a key note address from Christian Krohn, Head of European Regulatory Reform at Standard Chartered Bank followed by an update from Dr Anthony Kirby on the popular Regulation working group. Following an update from Matt Johnson on some exciting moves in collaboration across numerous industry bodies and ISITC Europe, a panel will then discuss the role for ISITC Europe in helping the membership navigate these issues on a practicable level.

Dr Hermann Rapp will present a new research and collaboration programme sponsored by ISITC Europe and three Universities and how the ISITC Europe Academic Forum (IEAF) will bring new values to ISITC Europe and the industry at large.

To close the meeting, we will discuss the cost and resource challenges and opportunities of Distributed Ledger Technologies in a strong panel hosted by Gary Wright.

I will also be announcing the theme and details of the AGM to be run in Q1 2017 with sponsorship opportunities as well as canvassing the Membership for detailed presentations and presentations.
