GlobeTax Powers the B.I.S.S. FATCA Accreditation Program

New York, London, July 2012 - GlobeTax, the world's largest provider of withholding tax research, relief, recovery and information reporting today announced a joint venture with UK based B.I.S.S. Research to provide the new FATCA Accreditation to the financial services industry.

Under the agreement GlobeTax will provide subject matter and operational expertise to develop and maintain the benchmark standard for FATCA Compliance, which is marketed and administered by B.I.S.S. Research.

The Accreditation will show that a firm is capable of being FATCA compliant based on the answers to a series of benchmark questions about structure, network, resource, policy, standards, systems and procedures. The Accreditation includes a report showing one's areas of strength and weakness in FATCA. For those firms not initially meeting the standard, further work within the Accreditation process will help get them across the line. Read more

The B.I.S.S. accreditation (Benchmarking of International Systems and Services) was established in 2002, to provide an independent business evaluation to suppliers and/or users of systems and services, utilised in Financial Services Organisations around the world. 

The B.I.S.S. Accreditation Logo when dislayed by a vendor indicates that the vendor has received an independent accreditation and thus increases the confidence of potential buyers of their product. The information provided in relevant reports if published, (these are only published by agreement with the vendor) can be useful in helping reduce the risk of error purchases and speed up the procurement process and provide valuable feedback for the supplier of the product.
